In Mauretanien herscht ne angespannte Stimung zwischen den europaehern die dort arbeiten...jeder hat angst vor entfuehrungen und faehrt unterschiedlich wege zur arbeit...von den einheimischen wurde ich aber immer freundlich behandelt und fuehlmte mich nicht zuletzt wegen den vielen polizeikontrollen und da ich nicht so reich aussah wie die Teilnehmer der Rallye Heroes Legend die mit ueber hundert Fahrzeugen mir entgegen kam sicher...

Mauretanien: Explosion tötet Al-Kaida-Terroristen

Bei der Explosion eines mit Sprengstoff beladenen Autos sind in Mauretanien drei mutmaßliche Al-Kaida-Terroristen getötet worden. Acht Soldaten der Armee seien verletzt worden, teilte das Militär des Wüstenstaats in Nordwestafrika mit. Der Zwischenfall ereignete sich in der Nacht auf heute südlich der Hauptstadt Nouakchott.

Die Sicherheitskräfte hätten das verdächtige Fahrzeug entdeckt und die Verfolgung aufgenommen. Daraufhin hätten die Insassen des Geländewagens den Soldaten ein Feuergefecht geliefert. Dabei sei der Sprengstoff, den die mutmaßlichen Terroristen an Bord hatten, detoniert.
