Hallo zusammen ...
Für unsere Transafrikareise auf der Ostroute (https://www.facebook.com/pages/4-wheel- ... 6660206900 und www.4-wheel-nomads.de) ist es wahrscheinlich, dass wir über den Iran in Richtung Vereinigte Arabische Emirate und Oman reisen und dann weiter (hoffentlich mit Transitvisum durch Saudi Arabien) Richtung Sudan "müssen". Wir sind sehr gespannt auf den Iran ... und sehen in der Geschichte eher einen Gewinn, denn eine Schwierigkeit!
Eben habe ich aber ein Reisebüro (bzgl. der Referenznummer) kontaktiert, die mir mitteilten, dass eine Begleitperson notwendig ist, wenn man mit dem eigenen Kfz einreist. Da ich das bisher noch nie gelesen habe, wollte ich auch hier mal die Frage stellen, wie Eure Erfahrungen sind. Außerdem wurde mir unbedingt davon abgeraten, das Visum in der Türkei zu beantragen (ohnehin scheint das inzwischen ja auch in Trabzon nicht mehr ohne Referenznummer zu gehen!), sondern gleich aus D mitzunehmen.
Hat irgendjemand aktuelle und genauere Informationen?

Zum Beispiel was den Iran, die Fähre Bandar-Abbas-Sharjah, das Transitvisum für Saudi Arabien und die Fährpassage Djeddah-Suakin betrifft.

wir waren vom 12.04-04.05 im Iran. Zwei Personen zwei Autos, wir brauchten keinen Führer oder ähnliches. Lediglich das Carnet de Passage und das Visum. Selbst eine Versicherung für das Auto hat man uns nicht aufgedrückt.

wir sind derzeit im Iran. Es ist definitiv keine Begleitperson erforderlich. Das Land ist wunderbar zu bereisen und eine absolute Bereicherung.

We have been to Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaidjan with our UNICAT MAN truck and returned by plane from IRAN end of August. Some information: Border personnell quite friendly like most other Iranians. But quite time consuming, too, Iran is a bureaucratic state. Visa in Germany 150 €/Pax through agency, Carnet de Passage by German Automobil Club AVD 150 € plus monetary bond securing the truck's value. One advantage of International Carnet: One may leave the truck behind and leave the country by plane. And should return.
Negotiations avoiding cargo listing plus import and road tax take a day at Astara border but no money if you resist and have got time. Insurance 50 €/4 weeks but never controlled. No need to lay out for laggers at the border and no problems with any type of Police or Military, no speeding, no money, no control stops nor visits at night. Attention: There are other reports in the net, just see above.
Diesel 10 cents per litre but a problem since Diesel Card is required, tourists don't get it. So you have to stick to nice truckers and cooperative filling station attendants and should lay out a reward. Attention: Not each and every filling station is cooperative, we had 2 misses. So fill-up as much and as often as possible.
