In Libyen sind bei den Protesten gegen Machthaber Muammar el Gaddafi mehrere Menschen ums Leben gekommen. Wie die Zeitung "Kuryna" berichtet, wurden am Rande von Demonstrationen in der Stadt El Baida rund 1200 Kilometer östlich der Hauptstadt Tripolis zwei Menschen getötet. Auf oppositionellen Internetseiten und bei libyschen Nichtregierungsorganisationen ist von weit mehr Todesopfern die Rede.
