Scheint's war es gestern in den Nachrichten: Die Grenze nach Aegypten soll geschlossen worden sein.
Muss wohl mit den Krankheitsfaellen in Tobruk zusammenhaengen. Weiss aber selber noch nichts genaues.
Generell zu oder nur in die eine Richtung oder was?
Denke, dass es sich um eine kurzfristige/voruebergehende Massnahme handeln muesste.

Libyan medical officials confirmed on Tuesday that bubonic plague that was discovered recently in eastern Libya was completely under control and all cases have been cured. [...] On his part, Dr. Abdulfattah Zaiyed, Director of Jamhuriya Hospital in Benghazi, said the bubonic plague in Tubruq, which he termed "bacterial poisonous" was under control.

Zaiyed told Oea that causes of the plague happened two months and a half ago as a result of replacing old water and oil pipelines in the villages of Al-Watter, Tarsha and Batrouna south of Tubruq. It was found that a number of case were infected and later diagnosed as Yersinia pestis. The plague bacterium, Yersinia pestis, primarily circulates among rodents and their fleas but occasionally spreads to humans. It is transmitted mainly by flea bites, direct contact, or inhalation of contaminated respiratory droplets ... mehr

TUNIS - Alarm has not been raised in Tunisia over the 18 cases of bubonic plague recorded in the past few days in Libya, in the Tobruk region near the Egyptian border. So stated the Tunisian office of the World Health Organisation (WHO). The organisation said that while there is no risk of an epidemic it is closely monitoring the situation given the proximity of Libya and the continuous flow of tourists and trade between the two countries, noting that the Tunisian health system meets appropriate standards.
