TRANSPORT: NEW ALGIERS-BARCELONA FERRY LAUNCHED

ALGIERS - After Algiers-Marseille and Algiers-Alicante, Algerian ferry company ENTMV has inaugurated a new route that will run between Algiers and Barcelona. "This new line," explained Juan Madrid Suberviola, the commercial manager of the Port of Barcelona, "will give a boost to tourism exchanges between the two countries." During the summer, underlined executives in the Algerian company, "the route to Barcelona will also lighten traffic to Alicante and Marseille in particular". The route will be in service until September with 18 trips at 15,000 dinars (150 euros). The Algiers-Barcelona trip lasts at least 12 hours.
